Born March 5th, 2025 to Ginger.
Our only surviving lamb, from our 1st sets of lambs; coyotes got the rest. So we decided to keep him as a wether, to hopefully maybe help protect the herd and the next batch of lambs.

We kept him locked up with his mother; got a new 5mo old Ram in June, so we put them together and weaned Pete from Ginger at 3mo.
Kept both of them locked up together till they were old enough to protect themselves and others from predators.

We will from now on; most likely be locking up the babies with their mother’s from now on, till they are old enough to be safe from coyotes. I’ll probably keep the 1st half-dozen wethers, to also help with protection ππ€π I got them a llama, but she liked the goats better; unfortunately. I needed her to protect the sheep more than the goats. She’s in Kidder, Mo now.
2026; I was going to butcher Pete, was having too many problems with my new psycho neighbors. Turns out, it was them and their dogs killing all our livestock on the Stockton property. When we called the neighbors on the issue, they went psycho on us and refused to rectify the problem; they only made the problem worse than it already was. So we had to liquidate 1/3 of the livestock that was remaining, we butchered 1/3, and are moving the rest to our new property in Collins.
We dont have proper fencing at the Collins property yet, so we could only keep a couple/few of each of the larger animals. Laura lost 2/3 of her flack to them and their dogs, it was very sad. They basically was trying to push us out to get our land, but we will NEVER sell to them.

However, However; Pete got a last minute reprieve. We will not be eating Pete, unless he gets too rammy. Right now, he’s very friendly. He’s a good wether, we hate to eat him; and the Ram does need a good male companion. Like Bucky and Paul.
